DilloForte translates conversations. The most effective way to protect a conversation is not to keep it — and our system is built so that it cannot, not merely so that it does not.

In short

The audio of your voice is never stored, anywhere. The text of your conversations never reaches our servers: it stays on your device and deletes itself. We use no profiling cookies without your consent.

Who processes your data

The data controller is Dolidas MB ("we"), which operates the DilloForte service.

To complete before publishing: registered address, company/VAT number, and EU representative of the controller if applicable.

What we do NOT keep

The audio of your voice

Your voice is transmitted, transcribed, translated and re-synthesised while you speak. It is never written to any disk or database, at any point. Our system contains no function that saves an audio file.

The content of your conversations

The transcripts and translations you see in the chat are never sent to our servers for storage. They stay solely in your browser's memory.

The database functions that would be capable of writing conversation content are disabled at code level: if invoked, they fail with an error rather than write. The guarantee does not rest on a promise, but on the fact that the system cannot break it.

Your local history deletes itself

The chat keeps at most the last 30 messages on your device, and in any case no longer than 7 days. Older messages are removed automatically when you open the app.

The time limit matters more than the number. DilloForte is designed to be used by handing your phone to the other person or sharing earbuds. A conversation translated weeks ago must not be able to resurface on screen in front of someone else.

You can erase everything at any time by clearing the site data in your browser.

The one exception: phone calls (Mediator)

Only with your consent

Mediator is the feature that translates phone calls. It is the only place in the service where the text of a conversation can be stored, so that you can re-read the call afterwards.

It is off by default. No call is archived unless you explicitly choose it. Your choice is frozen at the start of each individual call: if you withdraw it, subsequent calls are no longer archived.

If you do not enable it, no trace of your call remains in our systems.

Mediator is currently an experimental feature, not active for users of the public service.

Providers that process data

To deliver the service we rely on the following providers, which process data on our behalf and on our instructions:

Some providers are located outside the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

To complete: signed Data Processing Agreements with each provider and verification of their location, before the statement above about Standard Contractual Clauses can be made.

We do not track you for advertising

We use no session-recording tools, we do not profile your behaviour, and we do not share data with advertising networks. We use no analytics cookies at all: visit statistics are collected without cookies and without identifying you, so there is no consent for us to ask.
